Sonic Social is a regular monthly night at Bar Vinyl, Inverness Street, Camden NW1 hosted by Cybersonica - London's annual festival of music, sound, art and technology. It creates a little slice of Cybersonica for a few brief but enjoyable hours the first Wednesday of every month in the friendly, surroundings of the oh-so-easy-to-get-to Bar Vinyl (just 300m from Camden tube). With DJ and VJ sets, live music and audiovisual performances, screenings of short music films and promos, playful interactive audiovisual artworks and demonstrations of music production techniques from established names and emerging talent. The music policy is broad but definitely centres on "progressive electronic".

With his first electro release for some time Point B has hooked up with the German label bass4bots to deliver two mean slices of electronic tech-step; one in the form of a remix (Espion's 'Pertol Bomb the F*ckers') and the other an exclusive track 'Halo Marker'. After some intense perfectionism the new Point B 12" is with us. It is out on the mighty Combat Records label and is entitled 'Cinder Cones and Animal Bones'. This four tracker contains some serious 2-Step/dubstep business; three tracks of new Point B material and a tasty remix of 'The Insider' from BlackMassPlastics.

This massive weekender sees a huge gamut of electronic sounds come together. Everyone from the Irration steppas and Vex'd, to Kool Keith and the Two Lone Swordsmen will be pulling out the stops for this monseter. Point B will be performing live on the Saturday night. Sorry folks, but due to difficulties with promotion and the venue the Mass gig on the 4th of November has been cancelled. However, as one door closes another opens: a show at the lovely Corsica Studios on the 15th of December has been confirmed. More details to follow.
